Sanjay’s story is a motivational saga of befriending eggs and creating Sanjay Omelette, a brand that is now globally renowned and its fame is attracting everyone to Jaipur, the pink city of India. 

Sanjay, who hails from a non-vegetarian family, began his journey of experimenting with egg made products at the tender age of 14. Poverty and need to support the family made him start his work but passion and grit made him a global figure. Today, he has a track record of serving people with his cooking art from the last 38 years and he has happy and satisfied customers worldwide. He has been featured in many cooking-based reality shows. He shot to fame with the domestic Indian audience with his appearance in the Amul Masterchef India Season 1 show. 

This Jaipur man holds the record for making  more than 600 recipes from an egg and he is not just feeding people his exquisite egg dishes but also is a trainer. He has been a mentor to many and his students are now running successful businesses in India and in different parts of the world. He is a regular visitor faculty for Hotel Management colleges and talks to children how to build a career with innovation. 

Sanjay’s food outlet chain EggDee is a popular point of discussion among bloggers and is a hit on YouTube. Sanjay Omelette, which EggDee is popularly known for, is a place in Jaipur that needs no presentation whenever a man has a craving for having a finger-licking omelette.  The outlet started in the year 1981 and this place has been serving and this place has been serving the best egg dishes to people of Jaipur and tourists alike. 

“I worked as a dishwasher in a restaurant. One night while returning home, my cycle broke down. It was midnight. I started walking back home, dragging it along. There were a bunch of people gathered around the roadside. I was curious to know what was happening but afraid to approach. As I tried getting closer, I got a view and it was nothing but an omelette stall. It made me wonder how immensely prevalent that stall had been with just cracking an egg and a few strokes of the hand,” Sanjay writes in his profile.

This thought couldn’t leave me alone. Being a Brahmin, I had never eaten an egg, let alone cooking it as a profession. Mother told me I won’t get a girl to marry. I had no saving funds to start from. Everything seemed to go against this idea but I simply couldn’t lose hope. I wanted to give it a shot and I did, he adds. 

EggDee is one of those stories that have the power to make you weep, smile, and inspire you to do a lot more in life. Just like every beginning, this story also started with struggles and hard times. But the success and appreciation that followed made history.
